Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Engineer to join our growing team, focusing on critical payment and financial systems within the healthcare domain. This role plays a pivotal part in designing, developing, and optimizing robust, secure, and scalable solutions that drive financial operations and ensure seamless transactions for our partners and patients. You will leverage your expertise and modern engineering practices to build the next-generation payment infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

► Design, develop, test, and deploy complex payment and financial systems ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
► Collaborate with managers, business analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
► Implement secure and compliant systems aligned with healthcare industry regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and financial standards.
► Drive technical excellence through code reviews and promotion of best practices in software development.
► Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to payment processing, reconciliation, and data integrity.
► Identify and implement opportunities for system optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
► Champion a culture of being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic, and outcome-oriented.

Required Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
✔ 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a strong passion for coding.
✔ Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Event-Driven Systems).
✔ Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
✔ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architectures.
✔ Strong understanding of API design and development (RESTful, GraphQL).
✔ Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
✔ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, remote environment.

Preferred / Nice to Have

✦ Experience with healthcare payment or financial systems.
✦ Knowledge of real-time payment processing or high-throughput transaction systems.
✦ Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
✦ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
